Woolworths has opened one of its first next generation stores, starting at Warringah Mall on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

The Warringah store is the first of the newly designed concept stores Woolworths plans to roll out nationwide. The new stores are part of Woolworths renewal program, building on work done to stores throughout the past year.

The new store has a strong emphasis on health and organic produce. The new look store has 26 bays in one aisle dedicated to healthy eating options, as well as on trend health foods and self-serve bulk fruit and nuts. This store also has one of the largest ranges of organic produce, giving consumers more options about what produce they’d like to buy.

Woolworths has also added in a few extra features to the multi-million dollar upgrade including freshly made in-store sushi selection and a dedicated butcher cutting meat to customers specifications.

The Warringah Mall Woolworths also features a cheese room, filled with more than 100 locally sourced Australian cheeses and a full-time cheese expert.

Woolworths are wanting to create a more bespoke shopping experience for their customers, allowing them to shop all in one place for their fresh, unique produce.

Woolworths has plans to update 100 stores across the country over the coming year. The new stores will all be centred around healthy options and ideas, promoting Woolworths stance on fresh produce.
